How the the physical world, bound by natural laws, which condition our behaviours and movements in life, is created and who may have created it, are the most central questions as regards the mystery of existence. Then the other questions come in the mind: Who are we? Who is wandering in this world by carrying a “will” with which we engage in the world and react to the conditions which we face while moving and acting in it? How does the “will” appear in our body, which bring forth different individual behaviours of actions and thoughts with respect to the same conditions of the reality? Is will separate from the world, or one with it?

One may speculate that the world could be the bearer of the physical content of the body in time and space and the “will” is an entity of totally different character which exists outside time and space, and not caused by forces bound by laws? Some may say that the world is a source of bondage and the “will” is a power to free existence from this bondage to causality and time? Then one may wonder what causes the “will” to seek freedom? How can this freedom arise from mechanical forces acting on the bodies by following a complex computer algorithm? Can mind be, as some says, phenomena caused by the quantum behaviours of the particles which create and assembly the matter content of the body in which a large number of quantum-computers process different programs? Can freedom arise due to innumerable possibilities of states the quantum systems may potentially assume?

Moreover, we know that our body is a product of evolution from an earlier life form. In which way our “will” is  a consequence of this evolution towards more and more complex stage? To what extent “will” reflects an automated procedure of bodily response which it has learnt from evolution in a mechanical way? Or has mind its origin in a separate realm than the realm of matter? Does there exist something other than matter which we may call spiritual energy which takes the form of mind when that energy impinges on the material body? In other words can it be a manifestation of a non-physical existence in the world made of physical forms?

However, if mind and matter are categorically different, there exists no scientifically provable way to decide what is truth. Then one has to stick to one`s belief and experiences of life as I do here.

TIMELESS PHYSICAL WORLD

We live in a complexly entangled universe where all - starting from microscopic world to the largest structures in the universe - are entangled together in an inseparable whole. Behind this enormous complexity there exists a timeless design which appears in all scales of creation in the same way. The smaller objects in the universe are assembled in the same way as the larger objects, even larger objects, even even larger objects and so on. This creation process, which involves several forces of nature, is so fine-tuned that the process of self-similarity in different scales of creation remain eternally the same. Thus the universe maintains an eternal design in all. And this timeless design expresses the ultimate harmony, beauty and perfection behind the creation of all which exist.

This creation has no beginning or end. The universe rises from the void and the dark. All things, which arise from the dark, follow destined paths of movements following the timeless design operating in all. Starting from the dark void the created objects make a journey towards the illumined world where the objects cluster and form larger and larger clusters on the way. Thus the journey moves towards more and more illumined realms -as if all creations have the same destination towards the realm of light. Reaching the highest illumined state the objects return back to the world where they came from by ejecting matter and radiations. These radiations cool and sink back into darkness and return to the void where all once took their births. This recurrence of creation from darkness to light and back from light to darkness continues forever.

As all return to the void to join the ocean of darkness where clashing waves bring creation of forms as the candles of light which illumine the world once again. This creation of the world, which is visible by light, is governed by turbulent processes where waves move out and return to the core from where they move outward. This moving out and moving in at the same time generate the phenomena where nothing remains still. All are set in a dynamic wheel of churning, which creates the movement of time. In this time all, which are created, must follow the destined path of evolution and move towards the destination where they will once more become one with light. Then again they will face annihilations in order to return back to where they came from.

Though the things are born anew, evolve and die and repeat the journey again and again, the design, which remains at the heart of all creations, never changes with time. It exists as a timeless creator of all. The dynamics which maintain this timeless design in all scales also remains unchangeable and eternal. How does the universe enact this process, where several forces of nature bound to laws operate in an extremely fine-tuned way, appears to me as something beyond the power of science to explain.

WILL APPEARING IN THE WORLD

In this complexly entangled universe where smallest constituents of matter follow quantum mechanical laws, there exits an infinite network of information which controls the behaviour of objects interacting with each other. The information are passed across time and space to shape the temporally and spatially bound material world. One may speculate if the information exist before the existence of the material world, or matter exists first which forms the basis of information, or they are existing as two aspects of the same stuff forever.

One may call the source, where the database of all information are stored and from where these information are activated in the world, as a realm of consciousness. As hardware of a computer is different from the program, the matter and consciousness may be similarly different. Like the creator of the matter, one may believe that the creator of the consciousness also exists eternally. What we call consciousness may be arising from the darkness of the unconscious and following its destiny of movement towards light as illumined mind. Then returning back to its primary state of darkness after radiating and illumining the sphere where minds move along their journeys in a destined way.

As I have said earlier one can not give anything but a speculative answer about the nature of consciousness and what we call will. In my view “will” is an aspect of the world. It emerges in the world when the world exists as a ground on which the consciousness may act and form the realization of the mind. The mind, which emerges from the world, disappears when the world gets annihilated. However, the information stored as consciousness in the world remain available for processing again.  

However, the life processes in creation generate many categories of information which one may call different levels of consciousness. In primary level information consist of information about the world which provides the ground for physical survival. One may call it instinctual level. In the next level the information form the basis of evolution of the mind from a primitive animal stage to a higher state. In this level the mind carries information through imagination, dream and creative impulses which help to overcome the strict bondage of the law-bound physical world. It inspires mind to seek freedom from the conditions set by the physical world of matter. It is the realm of creative pursuits which inspires the mind to break away from the reality of the world bound in time and space. In another level, the information arrives in a contemplative mode of the mind. In this sphere of contemplative consciousness one may access information from a deeper base where the universe has stored greater information about existence of the living and the non-living beings. One may call it a realm of pure thoughts which is the foundation of mathematical intuitions among others. In the highest level the information relates to the information about the totality in the universe and the relations which may exist among all spheres of existence starting from the microscopic beings to the realm of God.

How and at what level one accesses information from different levels of consciousness defines the quality and evolution of the mind. “Will” of a person is coloured by the evolution one has reached. Person whose life is dominated by the instinctual needs posses “will” very different from a person whose “will” is directed to other levels. However “will” is generally directed to the goal of overcoming the constraints of conditions in which one remains bound. “Will” is often a navigator of freedom from matter to mind. Those creatures, whose “will” is directed to achieve a more vegetative state, represent a counter movement of what the life is meant for.

The evolution of mind can be related to biological level of evolution, determined by genes. The biological background of life possibly creates the foundation of the “will” of a person. However, I believe, it is not deterministic. The “will” once formed has its freedom to transcend the biological constraints and choose its path of own evolution. Therefore everybody has potentially the abilities of accessing information from the common storage space in the universe which is open for mankind.

Then a few words about the unconscious: It is not always a dark realm. It stores information across ages and different stages of evolution of species. It acts as the common “database” for all. This unconscious may have also levels of depths which one may reach. It is truly the realm one needs to connect to in order to understand the true nature of oneself. Only highly evolved minds are able to sink into its greater depth to fetch the most glittering jewels of the mind without being drowned. Many of these evolved minds, who succeed, are mystics who can cross the world of time and space and sink in the unconscious void and connect to the greatest mystery which exists i.e. God.
